the tiny tote

The bag you’ll reach for every day

Handcrafted in Sausalito, California from 100% upcycled boat sails

Distinctive, upcycled bags with a story to tell.

After seven years sailing the world aboard a 39ft ketch, Emma Casey swapped the sea for a sewing machine and a leatherwork bench.

Reclaimed sails, otherwise fated to the landfill, have a story to tell.

Miles beneath the keel and weather endured are charted in the worn sections, stains, rips and chafe points of the fabric. Modern Dacron and carbon fiber sails are incredibly lightweight, strong and water resistant. Why not give them a second wind?

  • The perfect bag for my trips to the grocery. No more floppy, hard to fill canvas bags for me! This sturdy sailcloth bag holds plenty and can carry a lot of weight.
